How do I get to the wedding events?

Answer

Villa Medicea di Lilliano is 20-25 minutes by car from the city center of Florence. We will provide transportation to and from the city center for the wedding and will likely have a private taxi porter to dispatch cabs for the pizza party. We’ll keep in touch regarding pick up and drop off details. Please let us know when you know the address for your accommodation! Valet parking will be available on site. Is there going to be a bar?

Answer

Duh. In all seriousness, the Italians do alcohol right, for those who imbibe. The evening will start with bubbly spritzes and low alcohol cocktails, we’ll move on to wine with dinner, and an open bar will close out the night! There will be plenty of non-alcoholic options throughout the evening as well as espresso service after dinner.

What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy casual - think vineyard or garden party. No need to wear a suit and tie, jackets optional. For those who choose to wear heels, there will be uneven ground so consider a block heel or wedge. The weather in Tuscany in early September can be quite hot (avg. high of 80) but should cool off considerably in the evening.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We know some families are leaving their little ones behind and others may plan a family vacation around the wedding. If you are bringing your children with you to Italy they are welcome at all the wedding events, there will be a children's menu option at the reception but no child care.
