Airport Recommendations
There are three area airports, DCA, Dulles, and BWI. We recommend using DCA because it is a short 15 minute metro ride from the airport to Old Town. Dulles can be an option, especially for anyone from the west of the country, though the metro ride from the airport is about 50 minutes instead. We don't recommend BWI, as there is no easy transit option and it is quite far away, nearer Baltimore than DC.

Transportation Recommendations
Driving around DC is not recommended. Roads are confusing, parking is limited, and you always risk running into an unexpected protest or event. For those flying into the city, we would recommend relying on the metro system for your primary transport. For anyone driving, we would recommend leaving your car at a metro park-and-ride and taking the metro in. THE VENUE HAS LIMITED PARKING. We would like to save that for those with mobility issues, so please use alternative methods.

Recommended Hotel Information
We recommend either hotels on or near King Street in Old Town Alexandria or near DCA in Crystal City. Both locations provide easy transit access both to the wedding venue and the national Mall and museums if one is looking for some tourism on the side. Recommended hotel information is included on this website for easy reservations. There are many other hotels that may offer different available rooms throughout the area. We recommend considering public transit times when reserving your hotel if you opt for one that is not within Arlington or Alexandria, because some hotels are poorly connected and may make attending the wedding or sightseeing generally inconvenient.
