If you have any other questions other than what we have listed here, please do let us know by email, phone, socials etc.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 25th June at the very latest to: helenanddan31@gmail.com Please ensure all dietary requirements and allergies have been provided. We're having a hog roast, so definitely let us know if you're veggie/vegan/pescatarian!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This isn't a fancy wedding, so 'smart-casual' is fine (tops and tails not required, unless that's your thing). We just want you to feel comfortable!

Question

What are we eating?

Answer

We're having a hog roast as our wedding meal. In the evening, there'll be a pizza buffet.

Question

Are we outside or inside?

Answer

Inside for the ceremony, but the hog will be served on the patio outside (it's undercover with heaters if it's cold). We'll also have lawn games, so there is an outdoor element.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Bartons Mill has a car park and an overflow car park, but just be aware that the pub itself will be open on the day. There are also a couple of Blue Badge spaces.

Question

Local taxi numbers

Answer

Alpha Cars - 01256 444 444 (this number is available 24 hrs a day, but you can also make bookings). Ubers are also widely available.

Question

Finish time?

Answer

The bar at Bartons Mill will close at 11pm and you'll need to make yourself scarce by 11.30pm (we don't make the rules).

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Honestly, we know weddings can cost a lot just to attend, so please just bring yourselves. If you're set on getting us a gift though, we'd be grateful for any contributions to our honeymoon.

Question

What's Bartons Mill like?

Answer

https://www.bartonsmillpubanddining.co.uk/ Bartons Mill is a pub in Old Basing, Basingstoke (the pub itself will be open on the day, just in case you find the pints on our side lacking). It's an old mill by a picturesque stream and a railway viaduct. It's a lovely walk along the stream to Basing House, it's Tudor Barn, and the village of Old Basing. There's also a children's playground in the field next to Bartons Mill. We'd already been to Bartons Mill a few times as some of Helen's family live in Basingstoke. Having partied hard at the annual duck race a few times, we decided it was the place for us! There's also a nice family connection, as Helen's dad and auntie (who grew up in Basingstoke) used to walk to Old Basing to collect eggs from the red-brick house next to the Tudor Barn.
