We're Getting Married!

It all started with a swipe right in February 2020. Both freshmen at Boise State University, Nick and Alexis, matched on Tinder and quickly found themselves drawn into conversation, curiosity, and something neither of them could quite explain yet. Their first date was February 27th, 2020—an unforgettable night that would change everything. Nick pulled up in his Nissan Xterra with a beautiful bouquet in hand, already setting the tone for the kind of thoughtful love he would bring into Alexis' life. That evening, he drove them up to Table Rock, a Boise landmark, to overlook the sparkling city skyline. But the real surprise was waiting in the back of his car—a cozy setup of blankets and pillows where they could talk, laugh, and share their first quiet moments together under the stars. From that night on, they were inseparable. But fate had other plans. Just shy of two weeks after meeting, COVID hit. Like so many, they were suddenly forced apart, navigating a brand-new relationship from a distance. The next five months were filled with FaceTime calls, roadmaps, and carefully thought-out plans—anything for just a few days together. Every reunion was hard-earned, and every moment together felt like gold. Finally, in August 2020, they reunited as sophomores. On August 17th, in a candlelit cabin nestled in the East-Central Idaho mountains, they officially became a couple. That night, the spark became a steady flame. Since then, they’ve built a life of love and adventure: enduring a deployment, adopting two quirky cats, graduating from college, and creating a home together. Now, they’re embracing their greatest chapter yet—raising their son, Miles, born in September 2025. A swipe turned into a spark. A spark turned into a story. And that story is just getting started.
