How We Fell in Love

3/10/2019

We met via an internet app but like to think that our paths crossed many times before that. Dana studied abroad for a semester in Dunedin, New Zealand and Tom visited that city while she was there. In Boston, Tom regularly passed through Harvard’s science center while Dana was studying just steps away. Once we matched online, we met for a coffee one rainy Sunday afternoon. It was clear to both of us from the start that we had met someone special. We bonded over a shared love of plants and our appreciation for the work of Alexander von Humboldt. Once we met, we just wanted to spend all our time together and it was not long before we knew it was love. We have enjoyed two years together filled with laughter, nature, and adventure. The pandemic only brought us closer. One weekend in December Tom suggested a trip to Walden pond, a place we both love for its connection to Thoreau and natural beauty. Dana was suspicious as he seemed nervous about the snowy weather and a dinner reservation he had made for Oleana, our favorite restaurant. Luckily, everything worked out as he had planned. On the shore of the pond he asked her if she would marry him. She said yes!

Intimate Wedding

We look forward to you joining us for an intimate wedding in Boston. We will only have 24 - 28 guests, but will be adjusting as needed due to the ongoing pandemic. Please feel free to reach out with concerns, especially as the event quickly approaches.
