It was Fall 2014 when Dan and Taylor first met as orientation leaders at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. They knew each other’s names, but not much more than that. Fast forward to Spring 2015 - when sparks flew - at a little old place called Murphy’s Law Irish Pub (Stop by for a welcome drink on Friday of wedding weekend!). Their chemistry was undeniable, and they spent much of that summer driving back and forth from Syracuse to Rochester to see each other. They celebrated their one-year anniversary in Granada, Spain, where Taylor was studying abroad. Their love was put to the test in 2017 when Dan left for Panama to volunteer for the Peace Corps. After two years of long distance - and seeing each other 3 times in between - they moved to Silver Spring, Maryland together in 2019. Since then, Dan and Taylor have made amazing memories and celebrated anniversaries in new and beautiful places. They are so grateful and excited to be able to celebrate their marriage with their closest family and friends (!!!) and are looking forward to more memories and travels together as husband and wife.
On Saturday, July 10, 2021, Dan pulled off an amazing proposal at the historical Palace Theatre in Syracuse, NY. Dan meticulously planned every detail of their special day—he staged a meaningful location (Taylor loves the theatre!!) where friends and family could secretly witness the proposal from the balcony seats! Dan recited a poem he wrote for Taylor, and before she could say yes there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Taylor was beyond surprised to see all their family and friends who traveled from far and wide to celebrate their engagement. It was absolutely a day to remember!
