Danny surprised us with a weekend trip to San Francisco, the place Taryn went to college, our favorite place to visit for a last minute getaway, one of our very favorite places. On Friday night, we had a super fun time at a going away party for one of our best friends, so we left later than we normally would on a Saturday morning. Although it isn't too out of the ordinary for us to take a last minute trip to the bay, when Danny asked if we could go, he seemed nervous and excited - and very adamant on going, leaving a giddy feeling that was hard to shake all weekend. We spent Saturday night at one of our favorite Italian restaurants in North Beach and getting drinks at our favorite bar. The Ferry Building is one of Taryn's favorite spots in the city, so we decided to stay at a hotel right near the water. When we got to our room, it had incredible floor to ceiling glass windows and a view that overlooked the bay and was front and center to the Ferry Building (Taryn nearly started crying when the blinds first opened to reveal the view). On Sunday, we walked to coffee and later headed to our favorite lunch spot in the Marina, Blue Barn. From there, we headed to Chrissy Fields (one of our favorite places to visit when we come to town), but there was construction all along the beach so we were sent on a wild goose chase on our way to a place that was normally a straight shot from the cafe! We finally parked and walked onto the grass, and to Taryn's surprise, (and with the help of our amazing best friends) Danny had arranged a beautiful display of flowers and champagne with the perfect view of the city, ocean, and Golden Gate Bridge. He got down on one knee and promised forever. It was the sweetest moment and in such a special location to us. It was absolutely, hands down, worth the wait! We could not be more excited to continue our story and celebrate our love with all of our favorite people! With love,
