It sounds quite comical, but it all started with a few green beans and some field hockey. The Summer before Daniel and I met, while I was working at school, a co-worker of mine who was also a field hockey parent was sharing a story about a field hockey dad named Dan, who loved to garden. When she noticed me eating green beans from my garden, she had an epiphany! "Tammy, you and Dan are both single, love to garden, and both have dogs, this is perfect!" After some persuasion for us to give it a try, we met for our first date on August 12, 2016. It was a night full of laughs, especially when the topic of favorite music came up and we both said "ANYTHING BUT COUNTRY" followed by a cheesy high five from across the table. As our relationship grew, so did our "tolerance" for country music. We would often kid with each other asking "Are we becoming country music fans?" The answer was obviously yes, yes that's what we've become! More and more songs became so relatable to Daniel and me, and these quickly became some of our favorites to listen to. We have created many lasting memories over the years even sharing a fireside slow dance once or twice to some of our favorite songs. We are both honored and excited that we’ll be sharing some of our favorites with our family and friends on the day of our wedding celebration.

Daniel knows how much I love the beach and how I like to be surprised, and this was a surprise of all surprises! Secretly, Daniel booked us a room at one of my favorite destinations that's located right on the beach of Ogunquit. Not being there all of 15 minutes after checking into our room, he insisted we go down to the beach and take some pictures before it got too late. With Daniel being one that loves photography, this didn't strike me as odd that he wanted to head to the beach right away. It was there on the beach, Daniel had me face the ocean, queued up "Marry You" by Bruno Mars on a wireless speaker he had smuggled into his photography backpack, got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife! Time stood still for a moment, and it felt like just the two of us were on that beach.
