One of Shanti's favorite neighborhoods and you'll get there and see why. Pop into the vintage shops, eat the green salsa at Lola's, have a sip at Art Du Vin and see a flick at the LB Art Theater. Rose Park Roasters is a go to coffee shop in the city. Get a kombucha on tap to go too. OH! And Ellie's. What beautiful food and delightful hospitality. We still talk about that pork butter and bread.
Boutique and vintage stores (6th and detroit is a fave!), the architecture, the restaurants and wine bars and, of course, Fingerprints - the local record store. We could stroll along these streets for hours.
Kayaking on the bay is a favorite past time and a great way to see parts of LB. There are also duffy boat rentals if that's more your speed - grab some wine and some snacks and enjoy!
Playa Amor - We know, it's in a shopping center BUT the hatch chile spaghetti and the grilled octopus are phenomenal. Nomad Asian Bistro - hand pulled noodles, the beef roll, honestly, everything on the menu is delicious and Shanti's parents are regulars. Ballast Point - Look, the beer is good, the food is meh, but you're here for the view.
