Travel

We hope this information is helpful to you as you plan your travel and stay in New Haven, CT! The suggested hotels listed below are all within downtown New Haven and walkable to/from the wedding. There are plenty of other hotels in the surrounding area and towns (i.e. Hamden, North Haven, Branford) that may be of interest to you, but will require driving into town for the wedding.

Flight

Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, CT

BDL is one of the closest airports to New Haven (an hour drive away). You will most likely need a car to get to/from this airport. Ground transportation options include: Uber/Lyft (approx. $80-$100 each way) Car Rental (Hertz, Budget, Avis, etc.) Public transportation (does not run frequently, be sure to check bus/train hours. Requires a bus, then a transfer to CT rail to New Haven. This is probably the least convenient method and most time consuming).

Flight

New York City Airports (LGA, JFK, EWR)

NYC airports are about a 2 hour drive away from New Haven. You can take a shuttle from any of these airports into New Haven (try "Go airport shuttle"), rent a car, or attempt public transportation. For public transportation: From Newark (EWR): Amtrak runs from the airport to New Haven, but not frequently. Check Amtrak train schedules From LGA: No subway runs here. Take a bus into Manhattan, then transfer to Metro North Rail at Grand Central Station (Metro North runs to New Haven) From JFK: Subway is an option into Manhattan, then take Metro North from Grand Central to New Haven
