Side Quest: Conquer Beer Mountain 🍺
Difficulty: Easy Reward: +1 Scenic View, +1 Fresh Air, +1 Brewery Beer Legends tell of a mountain hidden behind a brewery. Park at Upward Brewing Company and embark on a short hike to the summit of Beer Mountain. Upon successful completion, return to the brewery to collect your loot: a well-earned beer and a bite to eat.
Side Quest: The Raccoon's Tavern 🍺🦝
Difficulty: Beginner Reward: +1 Local Beer, +1 Food Truck Snack, +1 Questionable Merchandise Purchase Seek out the legendary screaming raccoon and claim a pint in its honor. Catskill Brewery offers plenty of outdoor space and a tasty food truck. Bonus achievement unlocked if you leave with the iconic raccoon t-shirt (Maggie certainly did).
Side Quest: Explore Basecamp 🌲
Difficulty: Choose Your Own Adventure Reward: +1 Nature Walk, +1 Deep Exhale, +1 Perfect Catskills Day Not every quest requires leaving camp. Venture out on the Arnold House's 80+ acres of hiking trails, challenge a fellow patron to lawn games, grab lunch at the Tavern, or simply claim a sunny spot in the sunroom and recharge your health bar. The path is yours to choose.
Side Quest: Alpaca Acquisition 🦙
Difficulty: Moderate (requires self-control) Reward: +1 New Best Friend, +5 Wholesomeness, +100 Photo Opportunities Journey to Buck Brook Alpacas and befriend one of the Catskills' fluffiest residents. Feed your alpaca companion, take them for a stroll, and try not to become emotionally attached. (No promises.)
Side Quest: Touch Grass ⛳️
Difficulty: Depends who you ask Reward: +1 Bragging Rights, +1 New Golf Story For those seeking a true test of skill, the Fairway Trials await. Gather your party, choose your clubs wisely, and venture forth in pursuit of pars, birdies, and eternal glory. We don't know much about golf, but we're told this is where the magic happens.
Side Quest: Seek the Hidden Masterpiece 🎨
Difficulty: Easy Reward: +1 Inspiration, +1 New Perspective Rumors speak of a collection of ever-changing treasures right in the heart of Livingston Manor. Admission is free to explore the galleries of Catskill Art Space and select your favorite piece before departing. Bonus points if you can explain why you chose it.
Side Quest: The Healing Waters of Neversink ✨
Difficulty: Very Easy Reward: +10 Relaxation, +1 Glowing Complexion, +10 Main Character Energy The Main Event is approaching. Prepare accordingly. Visit The Spa at Hemlock Neversink (an Arnold House sister property) and treat yourself to a little pre-wedding pampering. This oasis offers weary travelers from near and far the opportunity to recharge, refresh, and prepare for the adventures ahead.
