Those who know us well will attest beyond a reasonable doubt, that we are both a "little left of center"! Ironically, we met while working in behavioral health! We quickly learned that our individual forms of crazy are oh so compatible. On our first date, Zeus in the sky threw down fireworks like no tomorrow. We mean, there was an awesome lightening storm off in the distance. We listened to a local punk band, Maggie thought I was nuts jumping up and down thrashing to the music, like a teenager. Boy was she right, minus the teenager (my back hurt for two days)! One of the most important things that came out on our first date, was that neither of us wanted to NEVER, WE MEAN NEVER EVER EVER, wanted to get married... cough... ummmm. oops got that one wrong. Over the next 2 years, we have spent learning about each other, bonding our families and doing some pretty cool things! All of which have just brought us closer together. So, we figure what the hell, we're never too old to make the decision to be happy.
Again, anyone who knows us well, will know that we tend to walk to the beat of our own drum, even if it's off-key. For example, here is how a typical relationship goes. 1- Guy proposes all romantic like.. AFTER asking parents permission 2- Wedding date is set 3- Wedding plans begin 4- Get married 5- Live happily ever after Simple? NOPE. not for us. 1- Pick a wedding date 2- Call parents 3- Begin planning wedding, book venue, buy cake, dress etc.. 4- Propose on bended knee then sing Green Day "Time of your Life" karaoke style at our favorite bar. 5- Most likely get married ;-) 6- Tolerate each other forever
