Lauren swiped right into Dan's life in the beginning of 2019 with a Bumble message where the girl is required to say something first. Finding many connections through our initial conversations we decided an in person first date should be in the works. We made reservations for delicious pizza at the Calderone Club! After a lot of pre-date Facebook stalking (you have to double check, right?), Lauren found that she and Dan had 60+ mutual friends on social media immediately triggering the thought of "oh boy, are we already supposed to know each other??". Day before first date text conversation: Lauren - "Sooooo we have a lot of mutual friends on Facebook. Did you go to Milwaukee Lutheran?" Dan - "Yes, did you?" Lauren - ".....yup" Dan - "What year? I'm 2007." Lauren - "2009!" Turns out our things in common were much more vast than we initially thought. Knowing we must have passed each other in the halls a million times in high school or were in the same room without ever knowing each other is a strange, but comforting thought. The biggest plus was knowing our values, upbringing and family life were all the same. And luckily, with delicious pizza in a cozy restaurant on a cold downtown night, we both decided we really liked each other. Some might call it fate...
