We are excited to share that we will be holding our wedding celebration on Sunday, November 14, 2021! While our wedding in September was so amazing, we wanted to be able to celebrate with everyone as originally planned! We will be having a short ceremony followed by our reception. February 2, 2017: We both swiped right... and began talking consistently and learning about each other. March 15, 2017: That's right... Dan dragged his feet for over a month! Kristin finally convinced Dan to meet up (because let's be real, who has time to waste??). We met for a margarita at Toda de Madre in downtown Glen Ellyn. We both felt there was an initial spark and the conversation was great. We both believe we made the first move... I'm not sure we will ever agree on that! :) May 6, 2017: We had the "what are we" conversation, and officially became "official"! The next few years were filled with growing love and memories with each other, and our families and friends! Jump to..... December 25, 2019: Christmas morning, Dan woke Kristin up to open our presents for each other at our apartment. Dan opened his presents first (thank god!). Dan then told Kristin to open up her gifts in a specific order... first up, a wine opener (yes!). Second, smart outlets (score!). Last but not least, Kristin opened up a wooden box, that had a rectangular box inside. Kristin thought... aw, maybe a necklace! I might be super naive, but not once did it cross my mind that there might be a ring inside! I opened it up and saw a gorgeous ring. I think I screamed, and immediately started ugly crying. Dan told me to stand up, and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES! Little did I know that both of our families knew his plan for Christmas morning! We called Dan's family, and shared the exciting news and some tears! Then we went over to Kristin's parents house, and her family was waiting to celebrate! It was so heartwarming to celebrate with family and was so special!
