Great question! 😅 The good news: We are taking every possible precaution & moving ahead with our June wedding date! 🥳 The good to knows: 1) We are NO LONGER PROVIDING all of our guests with onsite PCR tests. We are basing this decision off of recommendations from the CDC, knowing that the majority of our guests will be fully vaccinated. For those who have not received a vaccine, we ask that you please get a covid test before coming to the wedding. 2) The resort will NO LONGER REQUIRE all guests to wear a mask, as of 6/15 when California officially "opens". That said, please do whatever it takes to make yourself, and those around you, feel most comfortable. 3) The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors. There will be sanitation stations and plexiglass around the food & bar areas. Most importantly, please continue to take every precaution to stay safe & healthy! ❤️
Dress to impress, but be comfortable ✨ We recommend taking a page out of any true San Franciscan's book and layer layer layer! The weather in Squaw Valley can get up to the high 80's in the daytime, and down to the low 40's at night. The ceremony, cocktail hour & reception will all be outdoors. We will have blankets available for those who get cold easily, and you can gather around the fireplace during cocktail hour. Jackets and sweaters are still advised 😊 Wear what makes you feel your best! If you want to match the wedding palette, I recommend staying away from black and white, and sticking to more warm / vibrant colors 🌅
While we obviously adore the little ones, this will be an adults only celebration. That said, if your kids' names were on the Save the Date, then they are invited to join in the festivities. If your kids are 4-12 years old, you can look into enrolling them in Mountain Buddies for a half day, full day or evening of fun activities supervised by their expert staff. Please find a link to more details in the 'Things to Do' section! Another option for child care is Lake Tahoe Sitters. More info in the 'Things to Do' section!
This is up to you of course, but we highly recommend making a vaca out of this wedding! The bride and groom will be arriving on Wednesday 6/16 and leaving the following Monday 6/21. If you can only stay for the wedding weekend, we recommend arriving the day before the ceremony on Thursday 6/17.
Of course there will be time for pictures! Before the ceremony & during cocktail hour would be best, PLUS there will be a photobooth at the reception 🙌📸 Make sure to use our hashtag! #CAMPOREALEINLOVE One ask - Please be sure to keep your cell phones and cameras away for the entire ceremony & during all key events (ie first dance). We have carefully handpicked our wedding photographers so that every moment is captured, and we want these photos to include your beautiful faces, not your personal devices ✨
