2009: Jocy met Danny when he walked into the computer lab in the Yollocali/Radio Arte building in Pilsen. He walked up and smiled at Jocy, she smiled back. He introduced himself and Jocy told him she was from Fontana, CA originally. He was excited to meet someone who was from a place relatively close to where he was born, Riverside, CA. They bonded for a quick second. The two had lost touch and in the winter they found each other again. The only record they had of one another was that they saved one another's phone number as J Wonder for Jocy and D Love for Danny. This time they connected at a deeper level. They had some feelings for one another, but they were too kind and shy to really show those feelings. There was a sense of adventure that they both saw in one another and most of all respect and admiration for the dreams both had for their future. One winter's night, he brought her some home decor for her new apartment. A blue lava lamp, blankets and even brought her sopes, a Mexican dish his mom had made. That was something that was special about Danny, he was always there to make you feel special. There and then, he leaned in for what would be their first kiss. She realized in that moment that her friendship with Danny was incredibly special. He was her truest friend and he genuinely cared for her. Their love could not be at that time and so years passed, and they kept in touch through social media and always had ways to connect during big moments. Through relationships and friendships, ups and downs their friendship remained strong for years. 2018: Jocy, known now as Joz, visited Chicago for work. In that trip she decided to visit Dan, known as " Man on a Mission" by many at this point and that is when Joz knew that Dan was the home for her heart. It was an out of body experience. A year later Dan took the trip of a lifetime to Las Vegas to visit Joz. On July 13,2019 they decided to take that chance and move their friendship to the next level. Finally!!
