Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe on Bumble. Ironically, we both attended Quinnipiac University, yet somehow we never crossed paths- at least not that we know of... Dan first caught Emily's attention with his green eyes and witty banter. As for what caught Dan's attention? Emily likes to think he was completely awestruck by her beauty. Dan has never officially denied this. Our first date was certainly memorable. Emily was so nervous that she accidentally turned into oncoming one-way traffic in downtown New Haven and nearly took us both out before the relationship had even begun. Thankfully, Dan survived and somehow agreed to a second date. We made things official in March 2022. Over the next few years, we built a life together filled with love, humor and plenty of adventures. In February 2024 we moved into our first apartment together in Bloomfield Connecticut. Soon after, our little family grew when we welcomed our two mischievous (but adorable) cats, Thor & Loki. Our favorite adventure brought us to Maui, Hawaii where Dan planned the most romantic surprise. Emily was fairly certain a proposal was coming (she had done enough investigating to be suspicious)- but on September 29, 2025 Dan pulled off the perfect surprise on Wailea Beach. It was a moment we'll never forget, and one of the many reasons Maui will always be special to us. After years of Dan making the long commute between Connecticut and Vermont for work, we decided it was time for our next chapter. In June 2026, we packed up and moved together to the Upper Valley, where we're excited to continue building our future. We can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!!
