This is going to sound super cheesy, but when I first saw Celia at the Webster Theater - she was there to see her friend perform and I was working - it was like a rom-com movie when the love interest of the main character appears and there’s a light shining on them. Our dear friend Cait introduced us, but I could hardly pay attention to what either one of them was saying. She was just different from anyone I had met. I didn’t know it then, but my life would change forever that day. When Celia did a semester abroad in New Zealand, I stayed up late and chatted with her on Facebook (navigating a 15-hour time difference was something else, let me tell you). She sent postcards of every new place she went, and I would wait for the mail to come just to see her handwriting. As you can tell, I was hooked. I knew I wanted her for as long as she could stand me (there’s only two people who can tolerate me for long periods of time: Celia and my mother. Bless their hearts, it ain’t easy). During the holiday season love was in the air. I asked her to be my partner in crime on December 23, 2010. We’ve been criming ever since.
