Before officially meeting, we found ourselves often crossing paths. Whether it was at Dick’s Sporting Goods, LA Fitness, or while Alex was waitressing at Rum Runners, we both seemed to have an eye out for each other. It wasn’t until January at Jergel’s Rhythm Bar & Grill in Warrendale where we crossed paths yet again. We were both there with friends to seeing a country concert. It took some liquid courage and a nice nudge from a friend to get Dan to go up to Alex and introduce himself. Dan waited until the last song of the night “My Girl” and a few beers later to finally make the move! We went on a date the following week and the rest is history!

After a waterfront dinner in town, we went and watched the sunset atop the Saugatuck sand dunes on Lake Michigan. This is where Dan got down on one knee.
