After moving to St. Louis in 2021, I didn't know a lot of people and started connecting with people in the area on Facebook. I first saw Jim in December of that year via a Facebook post he made tagging a mutual friend. I thought he was cute and sent him a friend request, he accepted. A few months later, some friends and I were going to host a party at my house. I went through my FB list and invited anyone I knew from the area, which now included Jim. He responded late with a "maybe". Since not enough people seemed interested, my friends and I cancelled the party and decided to go out instead. After cancelling, Jim sent me an IM "No go on the party?" I responded "Not enough people seemed interested. RSVP sooner." To which he replied "Maybe is a YES!" So after a couple of weeks messaging and seeing each other out in group settings, we finally had our first date on Saturday April 16, 2022.

Dana and I connected on FB before actually “meeting”, but ultimately met through a group of mutual friends. The night I first saw her, we were in a group setting. I was quite thunderstruck, but Dana was being pursued by several suitors. After some clever convincing 😊, I somehow got her to take a chance on a date. Even then, she was “busy all weekend” so she squeezed me in to her schedule and we met for a noon time brunch. After that and more messaging and talking, something must have gone right, because we were steady dating soon thereafter . That was over 2.5 years ago, and getting to know her and falling in love with her has been some of the best time of my life.
