FAQs

Question

WHAT IF I CANNOT ATTEND?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes.

Question

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Join us at our grown-ups only event.

Question

IS THERE PARKING FOR THE CEREMONY OR RECEPTION?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot is directly across from the venue.

Question

IS THERE TRANSPORTATION TO THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We're planning on our guests being spread all over the city between hotels, AirBNBs and VRBOs so we will not have transportation to the venue. There is a dedicated parking lot should you choose to drive. We recommend Uber.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Question

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE THIS TIME OF YEAR?

Answer

Charleston weather is always unpredictable. The weather is usually in the 50's and 60's. Bring a jacket in case it gets chilly when the sun sets.

Question

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INSIDE?

Answer

The ceremony, pending sunny weather, will be outside facing the Ashley River. The reception will be inside and outside, with a tent if there is rain. If it is raining, the ceremony will be moved inside.

Question

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CEREMONY?

Answer

After the ceremony, immediate family members will be taking pictures nearby for twenty minutes. Guests can head straight to the reception where we will be serving hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.

Question

CAN I TAKE AND POST PICTURES OF YOUR WEDDING?

Answer

You may take photos during the reception. We ask that you put your cell phones and cameras away during the ceremony, vows, and walk down the aisle. You are welcome to take and post all photos during the reception.
