In January 2020, we made the exciting decision to book our venue, the beautiful newly renovated Cabrillo Pavillion, located on East Beach in Santa Barbara. We day dreamed of being barefoot during the ceremony in the sand and dancing the night away with our family and friends. Soon after the world turned upside down, and the safety and wellbeing of our guests was our top priority. June came around, the COVID situation was not coming to an end, and the decision to postpone was made. Let me tell you, this was NOT easy. The wedding of our dreams was quickly fading. After solidifying our new date with the venue, we just couldn't imagine waiting another year to be married. We shared with our families how badly we wanted to get married. We wanted to start a family of our own and begin the next chapter of our lives together. So, we made the decision to elope. We decided to have a small 10 person ceremony on the same beach and the same original date we were supposed to get married. We are thrilled to have our toes in the sand and share this extraordinary romantic moment with with only our immediate family in attendance. Although our friends and extended family will not be there with us physically, we know they will be there with us in spirit. XO The AlHaddads
