We highly recommend exploring nearby areas if you have the time! Some of our favorites include Newport Beach, Balboa Island, Dana Point Harbor and San Juan Capistrano. Newport Beach: Explore the pier and Fun Zone, rent a Duffy boat to cruise the harbor, stop by the Wedge for world-class waves and surfer watching, or visit Crystal Cove's tide pools and coastal trails. Balboa Island: Hop on the historic Balboa Island Ferry from the Balboa Peninsula in Newport (can also enter island via bridge from the north). Stroll the waterfront loop, shop along Marine Avenue, and grab a chocolate-dipped frozen Balboa Bar. Dana Point Harbor: Also known as the dolphin & whale watching capital of the world - walk the scenic marina paths or rent kayaks and paddle boards. Also one of the best spots to catch sunset views over the Pacific! San Juan Capistrano: Explore the historic Mission of San Juan Capistrano and stroll through the Los Rios Historic District's charming shops and gardens.
