After eyeing Tomek at one of her brothers’ band’s concerts, Dana asked her brother Joel to tell Tomek to ask her out (that’s a mouthful isn’t it?!). A few weeks later, Joel worked his magic and Tomek reached out to Dana to arrange a date. Tomek and Dana planned their first date at a new bar in their neighborhood. Upon entering, they realized the casual sports bar vibes weren’t what they were looking for and decided to head across the street to a mutual favorite cocktail bar, Scofflaw. A few amazing cocktails and hours of conversation filled with fringe humor and a lot of laughs later, Tomek walked Dana home to her apartment and they shared their first kiss outside before saying goodnight. 6 years after meeting, Tomek and Dana found themselves celebrating their engagement with a photoshoot at the very bar where they shared their first date! United by their shared adoration for food, travel, their family and friends, and most importantly each other, their love story has been effortless, sweet, and a damn good time.
