I was picking up my Thanksgiving dinner and they didn’t have a box for me. I wasn’t upset. I just said it was fine and I was about to leave. Then the lady at the front desk said “We are going to fix this for you.” She invited me to look around as I waited. I chose the library. Then a gentleman comes out and says “I am looking for Miss Bell.” I said “Hi. I’m Dana.” He said “How you doing Miss Dana. I am Terrance the Executive Chef. I sincerely apologize for this mishap. In all my years here, I have never had this happen. We will make it right.” I told him it was fine. No big deal. The staff loaded me up with more food than I had ordered. They brought it to my car. After loading it up, he said “Sure would be nice to have somewhere to go on thanksgiving.” I said “You can come to my house. I have plenty of food now.’ He asked for my number. Surprisingly I gave it to him. He didn’t come for Thanksgiving because he didn’t return my messages. But he did call me on Black Friday and we have been connected ever since.

February 10, 2023: We were on a cruise to celebrate my birthday. We were playing BINGO on the ship and somehow started talking about marriage and how I don’t necessarily need a ring when/if he was to propose. He leaned over and said “Will you marry me?” I said “Yes!” I said ‘wait! Are you actually proposing?’ He said ‘Yes! Will you marry me?” I said ‘Yes”. Second Proposal: May 12, 2023 at Bentley’s We were at dinner and talking about life. He said “with all of that being said, “you still want to marry me?” I said “Yes” Then I said “Is this official?” He said “Yes”. We decided on not getting a ring. He put that money towards…the new car he got me.
