Taylor and Dana were married on September 12, 2025, at Pettit Lake in the heart of the Sawtooth Wilderness. This place holds deep meaning for the couple—it’s where they set out on their very first backpacking trip together. Over the years, Pettit Lake became the backdrop for countless adventures and memories. When searching for the perfect elopement location, returning there felt like the best choice for such a meaningful moment in their lives. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, surrounded by nature and a small group of loved ones: Ginger Warren, Steve Murray, Deb Murray, Katelyn Murray, Allan Schroder, and Rhea Bagchi. Allan officiated the ceremony with a thoughtful and beautifully written script that perfectly captured Taylor and Dana’s story. Rhea photographed the day with so much care, gifting them images they’ll treasure forever. Sharing this moment with their closest people, in a place so special to them, made the day feel incredibly intimate and meaningful. The weather was crisp and windy, with rain threatening in the distance. Luckily it held off just long enough for the ceremony by the water. Afterward, everyone caravanned an hour to the mountain town of Ketchum for dinner at Michel’s Christiania. Gathered around a single table, they enjoyed delicious food, plenty of laughter, and a small heart-shaped vintage wedding cake to end the night. The following day, Taylor and Dana said goodbye to their loved ones and returned to Pettit Lake, where they began a 73-mile trek through the Sawtooth Mountains—a fitting start to their next adventure together. This simple “honeymoon” was everything they had hoped for. Their days were spent walking across ridges and valleys, talking about their values, their hopes, and their dreams for married life. Taylor and Dana’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are—intentional, deeply personal, and rooted in a place that holds lasting meaning in their relationship. Looking back on that weekend, they’re filled with gratitude—for one another and the commitment they made, for the people who stood beside them, and for the place that will always mark the beginning of their marriage. Pettit Lake will forever be where their story as husband and wife truly began.
