Dana and Pritish first crossed paths in the halls of Ryerson's architecture building in the winter of 2013. Pritish, the loud extrovert, made the first move and introduced himself to the shy introvert, Dana. They instantly bonded over being from Thornhill. Over the years, they studied together, partied together, and even went on many "first" dates together. Fast forward to the Summer of 2019 where they both needed dates for their friends' weddings. Those weddings went so well that they decided to have one of their own.

Over the years, Dana and Pritish frequented their mutual friend's beautiful farm in Niagara for apple picking, cherry picking and picnics. They've shared many memories there and it was the perfect location for the proposal. On October 16, 2021, they drove to the farm for their annual apple picking trip, but Pritish had a surprise planned this time. When they arrived, he got down on one knee and asked Dana to marry him; to which she replied with an exuberant "YES!"
