We're Getting Married!

In a time when the world seemed to stand still, we found each other amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. While so many were staying home, we took a leap of faith and ventured into online dating, hoping to find something real, maybe even perfect. On November 22, 2020, a little miracle happened. I was so taken with you that I sent a 'Super-Like!' — a bold move to ensure you'd see me, no matter what. Looking back, I always say, 'That was the best decision I ever made.' From that moment on, we connected and talked every single day, so eager to learn more about each other. I called you after work, and we shared laughter and dreams, building a bond that felt both comforting and exciting. It wasn't long after meeting each other that we felt we had met our destined person. A month into our conversations, I faced the challenge of losing my job, leading to a long five-month search for new opportunities. During that time, Dana was my steadfast support. We spoke every morning and afternoon, filling each other’s days with encouragement and connection as she drove to her job at a local school district. Our first in-person meeting was on May 2, 2021, at the beautiful Tumwater Falls. We held hands, walked the trails, and even stole a kiss or two. I was so nervous that I left my card at the register after treating you to a pizza at one of my favorite spots, Brewery City Pizza. She still gives me a hard time and makes jokes about this from time to time. We shared a delicious Margherita pizza, and that quickly became our thing — we still go back for that same pizza and reminisce about the day that brought us together. Throughout our relationship, we've had to navigate the unique challenges of a long-distance relationship, living over an hour apart. It tests our commitment, trust, and understanding, but through it all, every single day we choose each other. Whether we argue, say things we regret, or just can’t decide on dinner, we always come back and remember why we chose to be together and try again. If a pandemic that stopped the whole world couldn’t stop us, then no challenge ever will. Our love story is a testament to resilience and connection, and we can’t wait to celebrate this journey with you!
