Snow Mountain Ranch Activities
The location of our wedding ceremony and reception is also the location of tons of fun mountain activities. If you stay on site, you can participate in archery, canoeing, disc golf, fishing, mini golf, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, climbing wall, roller skating, lawn games, tennis, volleyball, swimming, zip-lining, tubing hill and more! All of these activities are accessible to those of you who decide to stay off-site with the purchase of a day pass. Let us know your plans so we can get a group rate.
Winter Park Hiking
With hundreds of miles to explore, you're bound to find a hiking trail that has what you're looking for. Go for a day hike, enjoy an overnight trip, find scenic vistas, visit waterfalls or search for high alpine lakes. You name it, you can find it in and around Winter Park, CO. Winter Park is known as Mountain Bike Capital USA™ With 600 miles of trails throughout Winter Park & The Fraser Valley, you're sure to find a mountain bike ride that suits you. The Trestle Bike Park is the Most Excellent Lift Serviced Mountain Bike Park. Miles and miles of beginner to expert only trails. Lift service means you ride all day and never have to pedal up. They also claim to have the largest fleet of rental and demo bikes in the US, and they package full pads, helmet, shoes, and lift pass with the rental bike to make it easy, no need to fly any gear out!
Hot Sulphur Springs
Known as Colorado's finest hot springs and spa destinations and the nation's oldest, largest and finest natural hot mineral springs resort and spa! In Hot Sulphur Springs, there are seven natural springs flowing at temperatures of about 104ºF to 126ºF. Minerals in the water include sodium, sulfate, chloride, silica, potassium, calcium, fluoride, magnesium and trace elements of arsenic and lithium, all of which are good for the inside and outside of the body. Georgetown Loop Railroad
Looking for an authentic Colorado train ride? On the other side of Berthoud Pass, about 45 minutes from Winter Park, lies the Georgetown Loop Railroad. It brings Colorado history to life in a fun adventure that will thrill the entire family. The beauty of the rugged Rocky Mountains surrounds you as an old-time steam locomotive or a powerful diesel locomotive winds up Clear Creek Canyon, hauling your train past the remains of several gold and silver mines. The loop takes you between Georgetown and Silver Plume, over 2 miles apart, climbing 640 feet over mountainous terrain, requiring trestles, cuts, fills, loops and curves for a total of 3.1 miles of narrow gauge track.
