In the midst of our journeys to get right with God and become better people, we first met through a former mutual friend at a Giants game. Dana's love for riding motorcycles led us to spend time alone together. Ken discovered Dana's passion for riding and saw it as the perfect excuse to dust off his own neglected bike. Through our shared adventures on bikes, trying new foods, and attending church together instead of separately, we got to know each other better. One thing led to another, and Ken asked Dana to be his girlfriend. A year and a half later, he proposed to her on Christmas Eve. A few months after that, we found out we were pregnant with our beautiful daughter Mikaela. Despite our initial plan to marry first and then have children, we faced a hurdle when Dana was told she might have difficulty getting pregnant. Faced with uncertainty, we decided to try for a baby sooner rather than later, not knowing when or if it would happen. To our delight, Dana got pregnant during COVID and of course both of those reasons pushed back our wedding even more. From the moment Ken laid eyes on Dana, he had a vision of marrying her and starting a family. With one child already in our arms, marriage is next on the agenda, with hopes of giving Mikaela siblings to share her adventures with.
