Katie and I want to thank all of you for sharing this day with us and we are blessed to have all of you as part of our life. As many of you know this is Dana’s favorite story! Dana and Katie started this beautiful love story one mudslide weekend in 2014. I ( Dana) had been working in Baltimore and was traveling a lot to many of of the company plant locations i was working for. I was in Ashtabula, OH on that Saturday Mudslide morning when I got a call from a Ed and Kelly Fredrickson telling me that I was so close to Ellicottvile that I should come to Ellicottville for the rest of the weekend instead of driving back to Baltimore. Well a couple of humms and hems and a mention of free beer. I headed to Ellicottville! Arriving to Holiday Valley at 2 pm well past the start of Mudslide I met up with Ed and Kelly. Here comes the moment that changed my life!! I was having a beer with Ed and Kelly and all of a sudden this beautiful woman went running by us carrring a tray of hot dogs. Covered in ketchup and mustard and not looking happy but had a glow that light up the sky! You know how they say there is times in your life that all time stands still and you find your heart rate tripples and you stand in awe of what just entered my life ( well Katie did not know this yet BUT I DID!!) I turned to Ed and Kelly and asked who was that that just ran by us with the hotdogs. Their reply was “ that was Katie” I said Katie who? They said you know Katie she runs the Inn at Holiday Valley. I said no I do not know Katie but that is about to change! I knew at that moment that no matter what mountains and valleys that I needed to cross, I am going to marry that woman. So convicing Kelly and Dona to throw campfire after the mudslide and convincing Katie to come to the campfire she did. And rest as they say is History! We are so glad all of you will be able to be here with us whether it be in person or in spirit as we begin the future!
