Where it all began

If there is one word that comes to mind when you think Dana and Josh, it’s Craft. The first introduction was June 21st, 2015. Dana was working at Craft, one of her 15 jobs, and Josh was enjoying a Father’s Day beer with his family. Their love story began with a few exchanged flirtatious glances, Dana slinging craft beers and Josh was enjoying the customer service. Dana uncharacteristically waited for Josh to make a move. After weeks of flirtatious stare downs and playful banter, Josh slid his phone across the bar, winked and the rest is history. Since then, there have been memorable dates, countless travel, continuous laughter and their partnership has been able to carry them through those occasional peaks and valleys.

The Proposal

Four years later, Josh persuaded Dana to go to Charleston a day early for some “couples time”, prior to a planned group trip to celebrate his birthday. Dana suspected nothing. Her focus was elsewhere as she took charge and planned a full day of birthday surprises for Josh. The night began at one of their favorite local goldmines, Husk. Little did she know, Josh had plans of his own. He carried the ring in his jeans pocket all day waiting for the perfect moment to pop the question. Josh envisioned the perfect moment being after dinner at the courtyard of the bed and breakfast, but did not account for the drunken businessman who had fallen asleep on the bench nearby. Needless to say, that moment was a bit ruined. When they got back to the room, Josh decided to go for it and asked Dana to marry him. Josh got down on one knee and Dana was absolutely speechless. Moments later, she regained her footing and said YES! Just like that, Josh got the best birthday gift.
