Set up through mutual friends (a big thank you to Mr. Steven Richie), Dana and Joe first met on a double date in August of 2020. Their friends had a hunch they would hit it off, and they were right! After that first date, they began seeing each other as Joe returned to finish his degree at Penn State and Dana lived and worked in Somerville, NJ. They “officially” started dating in November of 2020. After his graduation and accepting a job in Towson, MD, Joe and Dana continued their long distance relationship. It was during these every-other-weekend visits, daily phone calls, and long car rides that Dana and Joe fell in love. After two years, Dana convinced Joe to cross over to the dark side and he became an official New Jersey resident in August of 2022. Then, on December 28, 2023, Joe recreated his and Dana’s first few dates in Eason, PA. As they took a walk along the river, reminiscing about how they were taking that same walk when it started to pour on their second date, it began to rain and Joe proposed. And now, four years after beginning their story, they are now starting their lives together as newlyweds!
