John and Dana met at their local dive-bar, Lazy Lanigans in Hackensack, NJ. John was out for dinner and drinks with family, and Dana was celebrating getting into nursing school with her cousin Joey. Joey and Dana must have celebrated a little too much, as Dana had the great idea to perform an ever-so passionate rendition of Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" on a barstool. Now if that couldn't get John's attention, we don't know what could. While Dana was giving a performance of a lifetime, she noticed a cute guy at the table behind her. The next thing you know, Joey was the best wingman ever and invited John, and his cousin Donald over for some shots. They told us they were just about to leave, but one shot couldn't hurt. Several shots and multiple hours later, they both went their separate ways. John texted Dana on the car ride home saying it was nice meeting her, and Dana texted him back reciprocating the same. The weekend went by and Joey had texted Dana asking if she "heard from the dude at the bar" and she reported there weren't any further texts, and yet another one bites the dust. To her surprise, about a half hour or so later John finally texted Dana, and the rest is history. Now if you ask John his side of the story, he will tell you Dana was ignoring him, and it took her 3 days to answer. Try to remember to ask the bride and groom their side of the story on the big day, and you be the judge of how it really went down!
