Ceremony At Storm Mountain Amphitheater

The attire for our wedding is casual, wear whatever you feel comfortable in! We highly encourage wearing florals and fun colors. Hawaiian shirts and sundresses would fit right in! Note it will possibly be quite hot and there is some uneven ground/gravel leading up to the ceremony site, so consider that with your outfit choice!
Getting There: The ceremony will be taking place at Storm Mountain Amphitheater which is located at Storm Mountain Picnic Area in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The front kiosk can direct you toward the parking area. Timing: You can arrive at 1:30, there will be light refreshments and the opportunity to mingle prior to the ceremony. The ceremony will begin at ~2:30. After the ceremony we have the site reserved until 5:00pm, spend as long as you like until that time for socializing/ pictures. Parking: There are parking spots for the amphitheater, but it is limited. We encouraged carpooling, and you can use Big Cottonwood Canyon Park & Ride as a meet up point (3865 Big Cottonwood Cyn Rd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121) There is additional street parking on the highway and there is day use parking at Storm Mountain Picnic Area for purchase that we are happy to cover the costs of. FYI there are no dogs allowed in the Cottonwood Canyons.
Free Time
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Between the ceremony and the reception, there will be a few hours of free time. This will be a good time to rest, relax, maybe grab a quick nap to prepare for the dance party? Here are a few ideas to occupy time, there are also lots of other things to do in the city/ mountains that you can research online: Memory Grove Park (300 N Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84103): This is a big, shaded park with a off leash dog area along a creek. A nice place to hang out and picnic (if you don't mind pups) and there are a few spots in the off leash area where you can dip in the water Silver Lake (8073 S Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd, Brighton, UT 84121): Up at Brighton Ski Resort, there is a boardwalk around Silver Lake that makes for an easy, scenic walk up in the alpine. Steiner Aquatic Center (645 Guardsman Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108): Looking to cool down and take a swim? Passes at the aquatic center are cheap, there is an indoor and outdoor pool. Plus you can shower after!
Reception

Wear what you did to the ceremony or swap for something more flashy! Dana will have her box of costume/ party outfits present for a switch up later in the night. We highly encourage bringing your own as well! Think sparkles, neon, unicorn onesie, etc
Time to celebrate! Snacks, dinner, and drinks will be provided. Bring your dancing shoes! Parking: There is parking at the venue itself and there is ample street parking nearby. Goodbyes in Liberty Park
