Our story begins like most modern love stories over a dating app 😎. It was a classic case of liking each other's pictures and then wondering who would message who first. Naturally we all know I'm impatient so I messaged him first. There were nights of little sleep due to being on FaceTime all night long for the next month. Then it was DJ's turn to make the first move, he took a 13 hour train ride to surprise me. He stayed with me and my college roommates for a week. Within that week I shared with him all the places that made me fall in love with Charleston. I showed him my favorite spot first which was Waterfront Park at night. While we were on the pier looking out onto the water he took off his necklace placed it around my neck and in true DJ style asked, "Will you be my main chick?" 🤦 🥰 So April 21, 2015 marked the beginning of our crazy life together.
