Iowa River Landing
One of our favorite areas to walk around, window shop, and grab lunch! Same location as our hotel block. Our favorite restaurants include Tribute, 30 Hop (rooftop bar), and Backpocket Brewery.
Pedestrian Mall
In the heart of downtown Iowa city and directly across from the Pentacrest, a fun place to walk around, shop, and eat on the University of Iowa campus! Our favorite lunch spots include Bread Garden, Pullman Bar and Diner, and Z'mariks. Also check out Java House downtown for our favorite local coffee :)
Squire Point Trail Head
Our favorite hiking trail with great views of the Iowa River. Located 10 minutes north of the IRL.
City Park
Located near campus and another great place to walk around and enjoy views of the Iowa river!
Big Grove Brewery & Taproom
Our favorite local brewery! Tasty food, great brews, and tons of outdoor space.
Stanley Museum of Art
One of the newer museums on campus with free admission!
FilmScene and SpareMe at The Chauncey
The Chauncey is a hotel downtown Iowa city that houses Film Scene (local movie theater) and SpareMe (bowling and arcade). Located adjacent to the Iowa city Farmer's market.

Saturday morning 7:30 AM - Noon. Fun place to grab breakfast and check out local vendors!
