Plan for sweater weather, but there is always a chance for some late autumn warmth. The average temperature in September is a high of 70, low of 45. The nights can get cold!
If you can swing it, we'd love to make this a childfree retreat for all. But if not, all good as we want you all there! Four legged fur babies are welcome as well.
Depends! We highly recommend getting a group together and renting out a house through AirBNB or VRBO, because it will have more personality than some of the hotels in the area. Key towns to look at for rentals are Sandwich, Tamworth, Ossipee, Moultonborough, Center Harbor, or a bit further away near Squam Lake or Meredith.
Manchester is a smaller, more mellow airport. You'll save about 30m of drive time BUT you'll likely need to fly through somewhere in order to get to Manchester. Car rentals may be a bit more $$$ due to a smaller inventory. From the West Coast, we almost always fly into Boston as there are plenty of direct options! However, if you're planning on exploring Acadia National Park might be worthwhile to fly in and out from Portland, ME. You will probably have to layover somewhere if coming from CA though!
