Isabella Freedman can accommodate up to 120 of our guests on-site. We expect more than that at the wedding, so please complete the RSVP form by **May 19th** so we can arrange for your preferred housing arrangements at the venue.
We're looking forward to the chance to truly celebrate with you. We've heard that the wedding day flies by in a blur, so we've picked a venue that will give us the space and time to sit, talk, roast marshmallows, jump in a lake, hike up a mountain, eat, drink, and savor this time with all of you. We're also bringing some pretty incredible people together, and we loved the idea of giving all of you the time to relax and get to know each other, too. While we know that some people will have to head out earlier, we'll have activities and meals planned for the entire weekend, so you can think of this as a destination wedding, right outside the city.
Oooh, you're in for a party. We will detail the traditions in a program at the wedding, but here is a crib notes version: By custom, Dana and Ian won't see each other for the week preceding the wedding to help build the anticipation. For that reason, they will host separate pre-celebrations open to all of their friends and families (these will be in nearby rooms, so you'll be free to shuttle between both parties). Dana and Ian will then sign a marriage contract (ketubah), before heading to the chuppah, a canopy representing the home they'll build together. It is a mitzvah (commandment) for guests to bring joy to the bride and groom. At the reception, you can look forward to a shtick: a quick succession of comical performances, acrobatics, costumes, etc., all performed in the name of entertaining the couple. You can also expect to dance the hora, the most inclusive of dances, requiring little rhythm or experience besides for a loose familiarity with the shape of a circle :)
