This is where we got engaged! It's an absolutely gorgeous garden with acres of beautiful trails, a glass conservatory, wisteria pavilion, and much more. A true hidden gem, we can't recommend it enough. Note: the garden has a $10 entrance fee and is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Saturday visits they recommend checking in online before visiting to avoid overcrowding (though when we've been we've had the place to ourselves!)
A beautiful state park offering sweeping views of the Hudson, there are a range of trails from beginner to advanced so there's something for everyone here. If you're not into hiking we'd recommend picking up lunch from one of the local restaurants and having a river-side picnic instead.
Walk down the main street of Cold Spring and do some shopping. There's boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and more. The street ends at a pier where you can sit and enjoy the views of the Hudson; this is also where the Metro station is, so you can always hop on and take a visit to NYC if you'll be in town a few days! Some of our favorites on the street are Cold Spring Depot (restaurant), Cold Spring Cofeehouse, Poor George (gift shop), Split Rock Books, and Angie's Bake Shop and Cafe.
A lively farmer's market open year round on Saturdays and held right on the grounds of Boscobel! Offering everything from fresh produce to snacks to baked goods to flowers, definitely check out this market the morning of the wedding as they'll be open from 8:30am-1pm. Be sure to check their website beforehand to see what vendors will be there!
