Sand Harbor State Park has some of the best sand, and most beautiful views of the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe & is one of our personal favorites. Kiva Beach and Nevada Beach are both dog-friendly.

Explore Lake Tahoe Beaches

Zephyr Cove Beach is great for water sport rentals (paddleboards, kayaks, paddleboats, jetskis) and beach volleyball. Can also book parasailing tours, and cruises on the M.S. Dixie II Paddlewheeler.

Located a short (but steep) hike down from Highway 89 is Vikingsholm Castle and Beach.  The castle is open to daily tours and is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the US.

Emerald Bay State Park & Vikingsholm Castle

So many great hikes around Tahoe!  Eagle Falls Trail is a great option for a short hike, with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, a waterfall and Eagle Lake.
