COVID has created quite the change in our wedding plans. For this reason, we would like to invite you to our Minnesota wedding reception on August 29, 2020. It will be held in Kathy and Jerry Petron's backyard and will include a newly minted husband and wife who will be thrilled to see you!
In 2015, Meg was travel nursing in Seattle when her roommate, Jayme Decker, introduced her to Dan. The charming Ballard neighborhood and the equally charming Dan made this the first of many dates. After four months, Meg left to continue in her travel nursing endeavors and the couple went their separate ways. A year later, in the fall of 2016, Meg returned to Seattle and, with the assistance of game 7 of the World Series and copious amounts of Rainier, the spark was rekindled. Meg stopped bouncing around the country at 3 month intervals, and Dan became the happy receiver of all that energy.
Meg's love of movement did not end in travel nursing. Dan and Meg frequently went on trips around the US and specifically the Pacific Northwest. One such trip involved a 3:30am wake-up call for a 5:30am ferry, an aggressively over-caffeinated Meg talking nonstop to an exhausted Dan, and a journey to a mountain surrounded by islands. It was on this little mountain on the island of Orcas that Dan asked Meg to marry him. Per usual, Meg got over-excited and Dan had to remind her that, in order to wear her new ring, she had to answer the "yes or no" question. Meg, of course, said yes.
