Time to celebrate!

It all started with two right swipes. Dan had a cute dog. Ally had a bright smile. We had 20+ mutual friends, grew up in neighboring towns and had taken the same train for 8 months commuting into the city. Awkwardness aside, the first date consisted of spinach artichoke dip, chocolate cake, red wine, and long conversation. We were smitten (and full). The rest is history.

Dan knew he needed to lock Ally down before she headed to South Bend in August to pursue her MBA. He planned a romantic vacation in California for the two of them, visiting Monterrey, Big Sur, and Napa Valley. Eager to relieve the stress of the having the ring in his possession, Dan decided he was going to ask the big question the second day of the trip as they planned to drive along the coast down Highway 1. After a full day of driving, stopping and hiking, Dan pulled off the road to an empty lookout spot. After Ally made him model for a few pictures, he got down on one knee, apologized for it being an odd-numbered day and asked Ally to spend the rest of her life with him. She said YES! We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and continue to play) such an important part in our story!
