Things To Do

A few of our favorite Baltimore things, if you're looking for something to do.
Save Your Soul at the Lithuanian Hall

Save Your Soul at the Lithuanian Hall

851 Hollins Street, Baltimore, MD 21201

The first Friday of every month is Save Your Soul, a soul music dance party in what feels like a church basement. Very Baltimore and a lot of fun. Really starts around 10 p.m. You have to become an annual member for $5, and then it's a $6 cover.

The Coral Wig

The Coral Wig

2 East Read Street, Basement of the Ulysses Hotel, Baltimore, MD 21202

This is one of our favorite bars in the city and is in the basement of our wedding hotel. Find it via a side entrance, around the right side of the hotel if you're standing in front of it. Incredible cocktails and the feel of a speakeasy in the Bahamas. Don't miss it.

Fells Point

Fells Point

Thames Street and Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21231

If you're in from out of town, Fells Point is a fun place to walk around, get some coffee/pastries or a drink and a meal, and watch the people go by. Shopping, bars, a food hall, restaurants--lots to do in just a few blocks. A few of our favorite places over there: Greedy Reads bookstore, Pitango Bakery + Cafe (great coffee), Vino, Thames Street Oyster House, Max's Taphouse and La Calle. If you're up on Saturday morning, there's a big farmers' market in the square.

Hampden

36th St and Hickory Ave, Baltimore, MD 21211

Another fun neighborhood and more artsy/not touristy. Stroll down 36th St, which everyone just calls The Ave. We love going to Dylan's Oyster Cellar, Paulie Gee's, Melanie's at Griffith's Tavern, and The Wine Source. Not far away is Union Brewing (huge brewery), Good Neighbor (Dan's favorite coffee), Artifact Coffee and La Cuchara.

Patterson Park

Patterson Park

Baltimore, MD

A huge park near Fells Point, with a pagoda, community pool, sports fields, playgrounds, boat lake and dog park. Loved by many Baltimore residents. We walked around the park on our first date. Get a great view of the city in the northeast part of the park, near Lombard and S. Linwood.
