Sidney and Braden met in Charleston. Sidney had been living in Summerville since October of 2006 when her parents moved down from Connecticut. Braden moved to a suburb of Charleston called Goose Creek in April of 2019 for his studies to become a Navel Nuclear Electrician after completing boot camp in Illinois. After a few weeks of talking on bumble, they had their first date on Market Street in Charleston. In the following year, Sidney became a licensed EMT and started working for Charleston County ems. Later, they moved into an apartment together in hanahan with their friends. Braden was supposed to stay until Charleston until December of 2022. So in early October when Braden got orders to the USS Nimitz in Bremerton, Wa, we were very taken back surprised! Braden. We had several long night talks about our relationship and what this meant for us long-term. Much to send you surprise, Braden had bought an engagement ring 2 months prior in August. Braden knows Sidney never makes quick rash decisions. He knows her so well! They got married at the notary a short time later. Since Sidney and Braden got married in 2020 during the covid epidemic, they could not have the wedding they wanted, they were not even allowed to have a courthouse wedding. They would be only limited to a handful of guest which is what neither of them wanted. They decided to still get legally married but to have the party and reception around their 5-year wedding anniversary so they could have a vow renewal ceremony!
