We're getting married!

We were partners in jiu-jitsu class. Chloe was an RA at the college where we met and Cody was an electrician doing work orders in the dorm. Chloe asked Cody if he wanted dinner with her after class one day. At dinner that night, we made plans for the next day to study together. While studying, we realized we both liked each other. Cody asked Chloe to go on another date with him; the rest is history.

Cody made Chloe think we were just going on a date to celebrate our one-year anniversary. He asked one of his friends from the electric shop to come take photos. Cody took Chloe to the Japanese Stroll Garden in Springfield, MO. Cody took Chloe to the spot where he would propose, which was a cute little Japanese house all lit up with Christmas lights overlooking a koi pond. Chloe had no idea he had friends coming but they weren't at the proposal spot, so he took her away on the trail. Then Cody found his friends and took Chloe back to the spot. Chloe could tell Cody was very nervous and she thought something was wrong but he wouldn't say what. Cody stopped in front of the little house and said, "It's beautiful isn't it?" Chloe said that it was and then Cody said, "Chloe, I have to ask you a question." Cody got down on one knee and Chloe blurted out, "Are you serious right now?!" Then Cody was able to ask the magic question with the ring box in his hand upside down. And, of course, she said, "Yes!"
