Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Damion Liles and Nicole Sorenson
To be entirely honest, most of our dates when we lived in Laramie consisted of doing homework next to each other or cooking together in Damion's apartment. There are lots of cool places to go, though, and these are some of our favorites from when we weren't busy studying. (Featured: younger Damion & Nicole, hiking)
Curt Gowdy State Park

Curt Gowdy State Park

1264 Granite Springs Road, Cheyenne, WY 82009

One of our favorite hiking spots! One of our first dates was hiking to Hidden Falls.

Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest

Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest

WY 82055

The national forest covers a huge area. While we love all of it, Nicole is personally partial to the part West of Laramie, up above Centennial. This part of the forest is where Lake Marie is, the single most-photographed lake in Wyoming.

Vedauwoo Climbing Area

Vedauwoo Climbing Area

Buford, WY 82052

Cool rocks :) Great for hiking! (Can you tell we really like hiking?)

The Cowboy Saloon & Dance Hall

The Cowboy Saloon & Dance Hall

108 South 2nd Street, Laramie, WY 82070

Great place for music and dancing! This used to be a favorite of ours. If our collective memory is correct, there should be live music there on Friday.

Cowgirl Yarn

119 East Ivinson Avenue, Laramie, WY 82070

Okay, so I've tagged the yarn shop as a nod to a joke I've got running with one of my friends, BUT the part to pay attention to here is the "Downtown Laramie" part. There's an abundance of cool shops in this part of town, and I cannot recommend enough the coffee shop right next door (but all of them are pretty good). If you're in town long enough, grab a coffee and walk around!
