FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

4pm

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really. I’ll be in a super fancy dress. Damion will be in a snazzy suit. You’re encouraged to dress in something that makes you smile, whether that means a cape or a dress or a bodysuit is up to you. No jeans please.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unlikely. Due to this being a small wedding, only a few individuals have been offered +1s on their invitations. We prioritized folks who don’t know our other attendees well or who have a partner we know personally. We think you’ll love our other friends, but if you’re nervous to come to this wedding solo, reach out to us to see if there’s room for you to have a +1.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If they were listed on your invite, they are welcome at the ceremony and reception.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

You can speak to Amelia or anyone from the catering team with a request. They may or may not be able to accommodate. All food at the wedding will be gluten free, dairy free, and coconut free. Most food will be vegan. Meat and seafood options will be offered. All food will be clearly labeled. Let me know if you’d like to see the menu ahead of time for allergy purposes.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

There is an after party for friends with limited space. For family, please inquire with the mother of the bride about Sunday brunch.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Chez Nous is a historic property on the edge of Wilmington, VT. The reception will take place in a newly built event barn on the property behind the restored mansion. The ceremony will take place in front of the boulders on the property.

Question

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

No. This wedding is exclusively for people who want to celebrate our marriage without needing alcohol.

Question

I’m trying to decide if this wedding is worth traveling to. Should I do it?

Answer

This is gonna be an amazing party, but if you’re unsure then consider giving up your spot to one of the many eager friends or family on our waiting list by submitting an RSVP of no.
