All starting in the early spring of 2018, they met at a college event in Maine during their freshmen year of college. From that day on, the adventures were endless! Their first weekend in Maine started with meeting at the Turner bridge for bridge jumping with Tyler Libby and some other firends. Right when she arrived, she was welcomed with a car on the bridge, getting in, and completing a burnout. Once it was done, Cailin came out with a bright red face but with a huge smile as well. From that day on, I think Damien knew that their was something special about her. As for their first weekend in Massachusetts, that was interesting time as always. Cailin and Damien thought they would head into Boston from her house and she offered to drive since she lived there for a long time. They were just going for some for and ice cream, but before they could get there, traffic became an issues. Cailin was feeling stressed. Second date weekend out and she just couldn’t drive in Boston traffic, so what did we do you ask? They swapped seat at a red light and continued on like normal and nothing happened. But that wasn’t the end… Since Damien didn’t know exactly where he was going, and Cailin not being the best with directions, they travelled around Logan Airport a couple times before finally reaching their destination. This has lead to many crazy adventures over the past 6 years which has meant a new experience every time that they are together for them and everyone around them. To now allowing them to come together to continue building their family and creating new experiences for all to come.

After just a few times being around Cailin, I knew she was going to be the one pretty quickly. That being said, maybe I dragged my feet a bit in the process but we both talked about it and knew it would happen eventually. Little did I know it was going to be as big of a surprise. It started that spring in 2023, where I knew I wanted to propose around or on our 5 year mark of being together. I casually started looking at rings and I had all the confidence in the world after just a few days of looking. I found a few styles, stones, colors, all of it. I was SO confident that I sent my top choice to my friend Zach Mann and his fiancé Steph and basically asked for their opinion but said this is the one. They agreed and were the only people I told until it came in. It came in so I had to find a place to hide it which of course is tough when you live together so I had to bring my dad in. Fast forward to the weekend of the 17th, got the ring to Massachusetts, showed Mary, sort of asked David’s permission considering his response was “cooool”, and hours before revealed it to her sister Elise because she’s known for not keeping secrets but needed to know because she was going to the concert with us. As we arrived to the Morgan Wallen at Fenway, I had zero plan. Elise and I were going back and forth. Cailin finally got suspicious so as we were just walking outside of Fenway, I turned and asked her some random question and got on my knee to ask her to marry me in front of EVERYONE walking around and sitting at the bars. It ended in happiness, tears, and cheers all around. Here’s to one of the best days of our lives so far, as we plan our future best day, which will eventually lead to every day being the best forever and always.

We traveled up to Massachusetts specifically for this concert so i was more than excited to go than anything. I woke up and my sister (Elise) and I’s first mission was to go get coffee for the start of this day. She was being more quiet than normal but i didn’t think anything of it cause i was so excited to see Morgan Wallen finally. We got home and all got ready, after redoing my hair 3 times (thank god i did) we were finally on our way to the train station. On the way, Elise kept asking what type of mascara i was wearing and if it was waterproof, i was so oblivious I sent her the type of mascara I put on cause i thought she just wanted it. After a quick train ride of not much talking, we got to our destination and started walking to Fenway. We were strolling around outside of the park when we started going back and forth and Elise and Damien started whispering. I asked what was going on and if we could just go find our seats cause i was getting impatient. Next thing I knew, Damien pulled me aside and asked if he could give me something first, and all of a sudden he’s kneeling down on one knee in front of hundreds of people right in front of Fenway park. I start hearing whistling and hollering from every direction but it goes silent after 5 seconds and all i see is him and the moment I’ve been imaging for the past couple years. It’s finally happening. I was shaking and tearing up but i bursted out the words yes as quick as i could. The night I thought was going to be a fun show with my 2 favorite people, turned into the best night of my life.❤️
