FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Although we would love for more people to come we are already at capacity for the amount of people allowed at the overlook. That being said no plus ones unless explicitly invited.

Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

We will be getting 12 bones barbecue for dinner. There will be brisket, pulled pork, and plenty of sides!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is not a specific dress code. We have picked a color scheme so everyone looks cohesive in photos. (Navy blue, emerald green, maroon…) if you’d like a photo of the colors we can send them your way. We ask that everyone dress nice for the ceremony, please no jeans!

Question

Why is there so much time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We are doing this so everyone has time to head back to their hotels/airbnbs to get changed in to warm comfy clothes for dinner. We are having a laid back reception eating, playing some lawn games, listening to music and just hanging out. We plan on having a fire with s’mores.

Question

Can I take photos at the ceremony?

Answer

No. We know that everyone would like to have photos for themselves but we will have a professional photographer taking pictures at the ceremony. We kindly ask you to not have your phones out as we want everyone to be present in the moment.

Question

Will there be music?

Answer

There will be background music playing at the reception. If you have any suggestions please feel free to text either of us.

Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

Buck spring gap is an overlook. When looking it up in Google maps it will be labeled buck spring gap. It will be to your left when going up the mountain. There is another area called buck spring gap overlook that is a picnic area slightly up the mountain on the right but we are having the ceremony at buck spring gap.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The reception will be held at 100 choochoo mtn rd in Sylva, NC. This is Damien’s grandparents cabin that Damien grew up visiting. It has become one of Trista’s favorite places and we can’t wait to share it with you on our big day!

Question

What time should we arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony space at 12:45 to ensure we are all in place for the ceremony.

For all the days along the way
